ABC Parents

What is ABC Parents?

We believe that by working together, Achieving a Better Community should be as easy as  ABC.

ABC Parents delivers a Parent Education and Peer Support Programme which focuses on the support that local parents and carers can share with each other. ABC Parents community outreach operates predominantly in Enfield and Haringey although it aims to serve all families cared for by North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.

The main aims of this ABC Parents programme are to provide:

We know by listening to local families, that support and solutions to problems often come from within their communities. It takes a village to raise a child so any parent who is isolated is at a huge disadvantage. Lack of knowledge, a lack of resources and a lack of support can each give rise to anxious parents struggling with the challenges of family life. At the heart of these situations is often a child who may therefore have worse health outcomes, fewer life chances and a poorer future.
